A Review of Expert Opinions on Style Consultancy Education

Stil Danışmanlığı Eğitimiyle İlgili Uzman Görüşlerinin İncelenmesi
Bu araştırma, stil danışmanlığı eğitiminin mevcut durumu ve stil danışmanlığı eğitiminin geliştirilmesi ile ilgili uzman görüşlerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan betimsel araştırma yöntemiyle stil danışmanlığı eğitimi veren uzman kişilere uygulanan anketten elde edilen veriler değerlendirilip, stil danışmanlığı eğitiminin mevcut durumu tespit edilerek, stil danışmanlığı eğitimini geliştirmeye yönelik çözüm önerileri oluşturmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma verileri araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini; stil danışmanlığı ve ilgili alanlarda yurt dışında/yu içinde eğitim almış İstanbul’da sektörde görev yapan stil danışmanlarından ulaşılabilen (12 katılımcı) ve Ankara’da moda tasarımı bölümü bulunan üniversitelerde stil danışmanlığı eğitimi veren akademisyenler (4 katılımcı) oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın genel amacı çerçevesinde stil danışmanı ve akademisyenlerin görüşlerinin yer aldığı anketten elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamına aktarılarak gerekli istatistiksel çözümlemeler SPSS paket programından yararlanılarak yapılmıştır. Örneklem grubunun görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla her bir maddeye betimleyici istatistikler uygulanarak tablolar halinde sunulmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmada stil danışmanlığı eğitimiyle ilgili uzman görüşleri incelenerek geliştirilen öneriler; stil danışmanlığı eğitimine yönelik farkındalık oluşturulması, stil danışmanlığı eğitimi veren kurumların sayılarının artırılması, moda tasarımı fakültelerde stil danışmanlığı dersinin zorunlu olması ve alanla ilgili döküman sayısının arttırılmasıdır.

Abstract
This research was conducted to examine the current status of style counseling education and expert opinions on the development of style counseling education. Descriptive research method was used in the research. With the descriptive research method, it was aimed to evaluate the data obtained from the questionnaire applied to the experts who provide style counseling training, and to determine the current status of style counseling education, and to create solution suggestions for improving style counseling education. For this purpose, research data were collected through a questionnaire created by the researcher. The sample of the research; style consultancy and related fields, which can be reached from style consultants working in the sector in Istanbul (12 participants) and who have received education abroad/in related fields, and academicians (4 participants) who provide style consultancy training at universities with fashion design departments in Ankara. Within the framework of the general purpose of the research, the data obtained from the questionnaire, which included the opinions of the style consultants and academicians, were transferred to the computer environment and the necessary statistical analyzes were made using the SPSS package program. In order to determine the opinions of the sample group, descriptive statistics were applied to each item, presented in tables and interpreted. In the research, the suggestions developed by examining the expert opinions about style counseling education; raising awareness about style counseling education, increasing the number of institutions providing style counseling education, making style counseling course compulsory in fashion design faculties and increasing the number of documents related to the field.
