Heykel ve Malzeme İlişkisi Bağlamında Beton Malzeme
Heykel sanatında malzeme, sanat tarihi ile paralellik göstermektedir. Modernizmle birlikte değişen durum biçim, içerik ve yöntem dışında malzeme ile de değişkenlik göstermiştir. Heykel kendini klasik malzemelerden kurtarmaya başlamış, mermer, ahşap, metal dışında alternatif malzemelerle de büyük bir zenginliğe kavuşmuştur. Bu bağlamda beton, yaygın olarak mimariyle ilişkilenen karakteristiğinin yanı sıra, yapısı, rengi, dokusu gibi etkileriyle heykel alanında biçimi ve içeriği etkileyen alternatif bir malzeme olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, modernizm ile sanat anlayışında yaşanan değişiklerin getirilerinden biri olan alternatif malzeme çeşitliliğine değinilmiştir. Bu çeşitlilik özellikle beton üzerinden değerlendirilmiş ve çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur. Örnekler üzerinden malzemenin heykel biçimine kattığı anlam tartışılmış, bu doğrultuda beton malzemenin dili ve biçimde yarattığı etki üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract
The material is parallel to the history of sculpture art. The changing situation with modernism has also changed with the material other than content and method. The sculpture has begun to recover itself from the classical materials, and marble, wood, metal and other materials have gained a great wealth.In this context, concrete is an alternative material that affects the form and content in the sculpture area with its effects like structure, color, texture, as well as the characteristic associated with the architect.In this paper, the diversity of alternative materials, which is one of the changes brought about in modernism and artistic understanding, has been mentioned. This diversity has been particularly evaluated and deduced from concrete. Through the examples, the meaning of the material gave to the form of the sculpture has been discussed, and the effect of the concrete material on the language and form of the sculpture has been emphasized.
