Open Access Policy

Ulakbilge Journal of Social Sciences is a fully open-access journal. All published content is freely available to everyone immediately upon publication, without embargo, registration, subscription or charges.

The journal adopts the open access definition of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI): users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of articles and use them for any lawful purpose in accordance with the article’s licence.

Fees

Readers are never charged. The charges made to authors are described on the Fees page.

Reuse

Reuse is governed by each article’s licence. Articles published from 2 October 2026 onwards carry the CC BY 4.0 licence; articles published before that date carry CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 (see Copyright and Licensing).

Text and data mining

Full texts and metadata may be used for text and data mining in accordance with the licence terms. Metadata are available through OAI-PMH.

Self-archiving

Authors may deposit the submitted, accepted and published versions of their articles in institutional and subject repositories and on personal websites without embargo, citing the journal and the article’s DOI (see Archiving and Repository Policy).
