Etkileri Çok Büyük Olan İki Savunma Savaşı Hakkında Bir Değerlendirme: Waterloo ve Sakarya Savaşı

Tarihi değiştiren pek çok önemli savaş vardır. Fakat sadece bazı savunma savaşları tarihin akışına bambaşka bir şekil vermiştir. Napolyon iktidarına kesin olarak son veren ve Avrupa’nın siyasi haritasını uzun bir süre için şekillendiren Waterloo Savaşı bu savaşlardan biridir. Türk Mîllî Mücadele’sinin başarıya ulaşmasını sağlayan ve Türkiye’nin bağımsızlığını koruyan Sakarya Meydan Muharebesi de yine böyle bir savaştır. Bu savaş aynı zamanda Mustafa Kemal Paşa’nın liderliğini pekiştirmiştir. Bundan dolayı daha sonra yapılan devrimlerin hayata geçirilmesini ve Türkiye’nin geleceğinin şekillendirilmesini önemli ölçüde etkilemiştir. Bu makalede iki savaş ana hatları incelenmiştir. Savaşların sonuçları ve tarihe etkileri değerlendirilmiştir.

There are many important wars that changed history. But only some defensive wars have given a completely different shape to the course of history. The Battle of Waterloo, which definitively ended Napoleon's rule and shaped the political map of Europe for a long time, is one of these wars. The Battle of Sakarya, which ensured the success of the Turkish National Struggle and preserved Turkey's independence, is also such a war. This war also reinforced the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Pasha. Therefore, it had a significant impact on the implementation of the later revolutions and the shaping of Turkey's future. This article examines the main lines of two wars. The results of the wars and their effects on history were evaluated.
