Yeniden İşlevlendirilen Kültürel Mirasın Korunması Kapsamında Söğüt Ertuğrul Gazi Müzesi

Öz

Günümüzde gelişmiş toplumlar kültürel miras olarak kabul edilen ve geçmiş yılların yaşamını, mimari teknolojilerini temsil eden yapıları korumayı gereklilik olarak görmektedir. Özgün değerlerin yaşatılmasıyla gelecek kuşaklara yeni işlevlerle aktarılan tarihi yapılar hem ekonomik hem de kültürel açıdan süreklilik sağlamaktadır. Bu anlayış doğrultusunda, Bilecik iline bağlı Söğüt ilçesinde yer alan Osmanlı Döneminde Sargı Evi olarak kullanılan ancak süreç içerisinde işlevini yitirerek Tekel deposu olarak hizmet veren yapı; tarihi, özgün ve mimari unsurlarının korunması amacıyla koruma altına alınarak günümüzde Söğüt Müzesi olarak yeniden işlevlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı, yapıldığı dönemde sargı evi olarak inşa edilen yapının konumu ve tarihçesini, yeniden işlevlendirme ile Söğüt Ertuğrul Gazi Müzesi’ne dönüşüm sürecini: mekân, çevresel özellikler, ekonomik ve sosyo, kültürel açılardan değerlendirerek ortaya koymaktır. Nitel yapılan araştırmada veriler, gözlem, görüşme ve doküman analizi ile toplanmıştır. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda, yapının özgün mekânsal kurgularının değişime uğramadan, çok az müdahale ile yeni işleve uyum sağladığı, yeniden işlevlendirilen yapının müze işlevi ile mekânsal ihtiyaçları karşıladığı, müzenin il dışı ve bulunduğu yerde yoğun ziyaretçilerinin olduğu, Ertuğrul Gazi dönemine yönelik yaşamı bugüne getirip, o dönemin değerlerine ışık tuttuğu görülmüştür.

Abstract

Söğüt Ertuğrul Gazi Museum Within the Scope of the Conservation of Reconstructed Cultural Heritage

Today, developed societies consider it as a necessity to protect the buildings that are accepted as cultural heritage and represent the life and architectural technologies of the past years. Historical buildings that are transferred to future generations with new functions by keeping original values alive provide continuity both economically and culturally. According to this understanding, the building, which was used as a Winding House in the Ottoman Period in Söğüt district of Bilecik Province, but lost its function in the process and served as a Tekel warehouse; it has been taken under protection in order to protect its historical, original and architectural elements and has been re-functionalized as the Söğüt Museum today. The aim of the research is to reveal the location and history of the building, which was built as a dressing house, and the transformation process into Söğüt Ertuğrul Gazi Museum by re-functioning: space, environmental features, economic and socio-cultural aspects. In the qualitative research, the data were collected by observation, interview and document analysis. As a result of the evaluations made, the original spatial constructs of the building have adapted to the new function with little intervention without any change, the re-functionalized structure meets the spatial needs with the museum function, the museum has intense visitors outside the province and its location, bringing the life of the Ertuğrul Gazi period to today. It has been observed that it sheds light on its values.
