Bilim Tarihi Uygulamalarının Ortaokul Öğrencilerinin Bilime ve Fene Karşı Tutumlarına Etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı fen bilimleri dersinde kullanılan bilim tarihi uygulamalarının ortaokul öğrencilerinin bilime ve fene yönelik tutumlarına olan etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada deneysel modellerden yarı deneysel ön test ve son test kontrol gruplu model kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, İstanbul ili Sarıyer ilçesinde bulunan devlet okulunda öğrenim gören 105 deney, 92 kontrol grubu öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 197 ortaokul öğrencisi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Fen Bilimleri Dersi Tutum Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin, frekans ve yüzde oranları hesaplanmıştır. Bilim tarihi uygulamalarının kullanıldığı deney grubu öğrencilerinin, fen bilimleri dersine yönelik tutumlarında Fen Bilimleri Dersi Tutum Ölçeği’nin ön test ve son test puanlarının ortalamaları parametrik test olan eşleştirilmiş gruplar t Testi analizi ile kontrol edilmiş ve yükselişin anlamlı olduğu görülmüştür. Bulgulara bakıldığında fen bilimleri dersi tutum ölçeği deney grubuna ait son test puanlarının, deney grubuna ait ön test puanlarına göre yüksek olduğu ve aradaki farkın yüksek etki gücüne yakın olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to examine the attitude of secondary school students towards science and science course. In the research, quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group model were used. The research was carried out with 197 secondary school students (105 experimental group, 92 control group) at the public school in Sarıyer, İstanbul. The Attitude Scale of Science Lesson was applied as a data collection tool. Frequency ratios of the data obtained were calculated. The pre-test and post-test scores of the Science Attitude Scale were compared with the paired groups t-test analysis. When the findings were examined, it was seen that the final test scores of the science course attitude scale experimental group were higher than the pre-test scores of the experimental group and the difference was close to the high impact power.
