Öz

İnsanlığın bilinen tarihi ile birlikte süs taşları, insanların çekim noktasında olmuştur. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde insanoğlu süs taşlarındaki parıltılı cazibeyi çoğunlukla kendini güzel göstermek için kullanırken, güç ve iktidar simgesi, rezerv aracı, sanayi ekipmanı gibi çok çeşitli amaçlar ile kullanılmıştır. Üstünde en çok çalışılan, işlenen ve aranan taşlardan olan elmas, saf karbondan oluşan ve doğada bulunduğunda değersiz cam parçası sanılabilecek bir yapıya sahiptir. Buna rağmen işlendiği zaman göz alıcı bir yapıya sahip olan, doğada bulunan en sert maddelerden biri olan elmas insanoğlunun vazgeçilmezi olmaya devam etmektedir. Bu araştırma kapsamında elmasın; takıda kullanımının değerlendirilmesi, takı tasarımında kullanımı, takı tasarlanırken kesim şekilleri ve kullanım sebeplerini tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaca bağlı olarak elmasın gemolojik özellikleri, tarih içerindeki yeri, kullanım yerleri, rezerv olarak değerlendirilmesi, kuyumculukta takı üretimde kullanımı üzerinde durulmuştur. Araştırma literatür taramasına ve saha çalışmasına dayalı betimsel yöntemdedir. Araştırma kapsamında ulaşılan basılı, dijital kaynaklar ile saha çalışmasından elde edilen veriler güvenilir ve yeterli varsayılmıştır. Araştırma disiplinler arası olması ve bu konuda çalışacak olan için düzenli bir çalışma olması açısından özgündür. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen veriler gerekli başlıklar içinde düzenli bir biçimde sunularak konu bu kapsamda tartışılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract

The Use of Diamond and Diamond in Jewelery Manufacturing in the Jewelry Industry

With the known history of humanity, ornamental stones have been at the point of attraction of people. In the historical process, while mankind often used the glittering charm of ornamental stones to make themselves look beautiful, they were used for various purposes such as the symbol of power and power, the reserve vehicle, and industrial equipment. It can be said that it is not wrong to say that it is one of the most known ornamental stones and the first thing that comes to mind. Diamond, which is one of the most studied, processed and sought-after stones, has a structure made of pure carbon and can be considered as a worthless piece of glass when it is found in nature. Despite this, diamond, which has an eye-catching structure when processed, remains one of the hardest materials in nature and remains indispensable for human beings. In this research, diamond; It was aimed to evaluate the use of jewelry, use it in jewelry design, cut shapes while designing jewelry, determine the forms of use and reasons for use. Depending on this purpose, the gemological properties of the diamond, its place in history, its usage places, its evaluation as a reserve, its use in jewelry production in jewelery are emphasized. The research is a descriptive method based on literature review and field study. The data obtained from the field study and the printed, digital resources reached within the scope of the research are assumed to be reliable and sufficient. The research is unique in that it is interdisciplinary and it is a regular study for those who will work on this subject. The data obtained within the scope of the study is presented regularly within the required titles and the subject is tried to be discussed within this scope.
