In the last two decades, with the new developments in computer-aided design, different approaches have been developed in ceramic design and production. Visual programming, which is one of these approaches, has been used in three-dimensional design in recent years. Visual programming allows users to design program elements graphically, instead of creating them by scripting code. All commands in a software or a design are expressed by visual elements on the screen with visual programming tools. A design can be created with the relations of these visual elements with each other. Thus, the designed product can be easily changed or reprogrammed. In this study, applications with Grasshopper, one of the visual programming software used for three-dimensional design and production in ceramic design, were included. In the first part of the study, the general features of the software are mentioned as well as usage areas and other plugins. Some of ceramic artists who use Grasshopper and their works were presented in the following section. In the last section, Grasshopper was discussed with two different perspectives. First, a ceramic vase was designed and some changes were applied on the ceramic vase. Thus, it was aimed to show the advantages of rapid deformation provided by the software. Lastly, the production stages of two different ceramic bowl forms were included. At the last stage of the study, the ceramic forms were also designed to show the advantages of Grasshopper in ceramic production.
