In the study, it was aimed to examine the opinions of psychological counselors on effective counselor qualifications, professional pride and professional satisfaction and the relations between these variables. The data of the research conducted with the qualitative research method were collected with semi-structured questionnaires. 21 psychological counselors constituting the study group of the research were determined with maximum variation from purposive sampling methods. While analyzing the data, Maxqda 2020 qualitative analysis program was used. By adding questionnaires with answers to this program, the aims of the research and interview questions were determined as themes, the data were divided into meaningful sections, and the codes and categories that defined them were determined. According to the research findings; Two categories were obtained regarding the theme of effective counselor qualifications: effective counselor qualifications and the needs of counselors to be effective. Four categories were obtained: positive feelings and thoughts about the choice of profession, negative feelings and thoughts about the choice of profession, feelings and thoughts about the historical development and philosophy of the profession, and field advocacy regarding the theme of professional pride. Three categories were obtained: the harmony of expectations and opportunities related to the theme of professional satisfaction, factors that decrease job satisfaction, and factors that increase job satisfaction. Under the theme of the effects of effective counselor qualifications, professional pride and professional satisfaction on each other, the category of the effect of effective counselor qualifications on professional pride and professional satisfaction was created.
