The concept of “vandalism” used for stating mercilessness of East Germans overrunning Roman in the 5th century A.D. is called as “destroying something” in Turkish. It is possible to express that number of the studies about this subject is showing increase day by day. However, when studies about the subject have been evaluated, it is seen that those studies are mostly about destructions of public spheres and handle sociological and psychological dimensions of vandalism. In this research, firstly destructions on cultural assets have been tried to be categorized by examining "Meetings on the Results of Excavations" and “Symposiums of Museums Salvage Excavations and Museum Workshop” between 2003-2013 and then solution suggestions were offered by evaluating cultural assets in Selçuk, district of İzmir, and Kuşadası, district of Aydın within the scope of vandalism. In the conclusion part of the study, the vandalism on the cultural assets has been evaluated within the framework of tourism and the solutions for the prevention of vandalism have been tried to be suggested.
