In this study, how education policies during the period Justice Party came to power alone under the presidency of SüleymanDemirel (1965-1971) were reflected in press, how youth movements and political polarization emerging as a result ofideological polarization of cold war during this period influenced education policies, and the compatibility of these results with the objectives set by the party platform and its reflections in press were investigated and analyzed. In addition, it was attempted to identify what aspects of education were predominantly handled and there is a parallelism between the agendas of whatever kind of subjects and events. The study examined three newspapers which are inclined to different politics and pertained to different publications at the national level to identify the reflections of education policies in press, and the decisions given at national education councils, in development plans and government programs to determine education policies. Cumhuriyet is a newspaper which criticizes the government and its practices in line with its publication policy inclined to left/socialist views; Tercüman is a newspaper inclined to nationalist/conservative views; and Hürriyet is a newspaper inclined to center/liberal views.
