Cities are described as the architectural places which are the complements of the human products-different from the other materials that individual perceives in the nature and which serve himself, and which are shaped as much as the natural conditions let or sometimes by large scale plans Cities are like living beings and they include the traces of social lives, such as wars, large content organizations. Cities aren’t formed in short time.While they are being formed according to large scale plans, attentions is paid to its geopolitical position, natural resources, economic gainings and their service to social aims. Cities obtain identity with their original characteristics. In the identity of a city, the dominant properties of the city which come forward are decisive. So, while some cities come forward with their spatial properties, others come forward with socio-cultural properties. The works of art and graphic design products which take place in cities have a holistic structure which, reflect the problems of the society, contribute to delivery of cultural-artistic and design accumulation, make the city unite with the environment and the society that lives in it, help the city and environment togetherness to have a meaning.
Graphic design is one of the most important elements to be paid attention in order to fulfil the social expectations for communicaton and form aesthetic values. Because graphic design is an effective discipline to provide meaningful exchange between people, to inform a society, to make their lives easier, to keep socialization alive and to form aesthetic consciousness. Graphic design products are of the indispensables of a city. So, graphic design products take place among the most colourful, most remarkable, and informative means of a city. Many graphic products such as, orientation and informative graphics, billboards, banners, pictograms, signboards, city maps, building and car dressings etc. are designs that people always face. The design of these graphic products qualitatively add incontrovertible values firstly to the design and visual culture and then to the aesthetic of the city.
