1692772512 THE FRONT OF ARTISTS CONCEPTUAL ART

Wars, colonialism, political policies have been among the biggest factors shaping human history. For centuries, artists have been forced to leave their lands due to the devastating effects of wars and have been subjected to forced migration. Artists have transferred the events they have experienced since the existence of art to their works. Although a critical approach was not possible in the early periods, artists have started to reflect the destructive face of art in their works since the periods when humanist approaches became widespread. Some of today's artists, who had to leave their roots, convey what they want to convey about what happened in the countries they left behind, in the geographies they had to migrate, through conceptual art. Artists transfer the environment they live into their works with artistic sensitivity, and they need a source of inspiration to realize their works. The environment they are in also affects their works. Artists, who have a highly sensitive structure, conveyed the hypocrisy of the war with their own fronts and weapons. They did this through art. They display the destructive face of war in the most striking way in their works. In this study, it will be focused on how selected conceptual artists convey the destruction that took place in the period and their lands through conceptual art, which has a critical structure, from the structure of conceptual art, which is a style of today's art.
