Culture includes all the elements that make up people’s principles, beliefs, traditions, understanding of art and identities. Societies have their own distinctive cultures. Turkish culture, which has unique values in this rich diversity, has also shaped the cultural mosaic with traditional arts that reflect the social life. Especially with its thousands of years of history, the textile field still has elements that maintain its popularity in terms of material, application and ornament design. Among the folk handicrafts that continue depending on the traditional features in the field of textile, weaving combined with talent and creativity and served various usage purposes. In particular, rug weavings have been used continuously in contemporary designs by keeping up with contemporary life in terms of technique, material and especially motif features and the preservation and sustainability of cultural values. Architectural elements, furnishings, media, etc., keeping up with the modern lifestyle. It has remained alive with its manifesto of gaining new values by keeping the traces of the past alive in many media. With this understanding, the study was handled within the framework of the qualitative method, and current products designed from traditional rug motifs were tried to be analyzed by deliberate sampling. The main aim is to present original evaluations about the presentation of an art that reflects the traditional aspect of Turkish culture in a new identity by gaining a contemporary form. With work; It is thought that it will be beneficial for the design and culture sector to discuss the evolution of the traditional today through examples such as ‘innovative stance’, ‘repetition of history’, ‘marketing strategy’, ‘promotion’, ‘readiness’ and many more.
