Dyeing plays an important role in the production of traditional textiles and determines the quality of the product to be dyed. As it is known towards the and of the XIX century rapid dissipation of cheap analine dyes has led to the fact that natural dyeing with a long history has almost ceased to be used. Natural dyeing methods and many things about dyeing have been forgotten. The purpose of the research is dyeing the wool fibers with natural indigo and turmeric by the vat dyeing, direct dyeing, mordant dyeing and overdyeing methods to obtain various color and color tones and to evaluate the obtained colors subjectively and objectively. For indigo vat used sodium hydrosulphate and sodium hidroksit were used as a redactor and for mordant dyeing applications; alum, tannic acid, tartaric acid and iron sulphate mordants were used in 3% and 5% according to the sample weight.
