In 2012, the Central Bank has declared the new symbol for the Turkish lira. However, during the time period, the typographic problems of the symbol can not be resolved. The TL symbol used in bazaar, markets, shop showcases or mass media such as newspaper, television and internet has very problematic examples in terms of graphic design.In order to provide the right graphic designs, the typographical problems of the TL symbol in the price ads must be solved. In this study the typographic problems in the use of the new TL symbol are discussed and suggestions have been developed for solving these problems. In this study, various visual sources with incorrect TL symbols have been investigated and solutions have been put in place to fix the problems.
