Rapid advances in information and communication technologies on the one hand accelerates globalization and on the other hand has concluded media, computer, cultural, social, environmental, visual literacies as different types of literacy. Cultural literacy the ability to appreciate and understand similarities and differecences on own and other cultures’ value, tradition, faith own culture has an important role against negative effects of globalization homegenizing societies. In this regard nowadays globalizitaion is inevitable, education of cultural values peaople closer together and non-verbal communucation tool have an important role. In this direction in this study principles, purposes and target on visual arts elementary and secondary school curriculum is examined taking into consideration the cultural items.
